Cineasan is the Nepali film database website created for the purpose of viewing basic information about the filmmakers based in Nepal. The main reason to form the cineasan is to gather the resources of filmmaking in Nepal, so that anybody can enjoy, appreciate, and get some information about the crew and the film itself. We are here to decrease the distance between the filmmakers and the audience.

This website helps any individual to know about the list of the makers involved in the making of their favorite movies and the list of the works done by their favorite filmmakers.

There is always a problem finding enthusiastic crew who really breathe film, while making a movie and 50 percent chance not getting a perfect crew. Finding a technical crew is difficult so does the creative resources. Even though there are a lot of skilled manpower in industry but are fragmented in their own way. There wasn't any forum where we can discuss about visual literacy, films and the process of filmmaking.

We exist because we believe that the best way to get independent films made and out into the world is to learn from others doing it themselves. It serves as a means for independent filmmakers to connect with each other.
