Sankal Bhujel was born on 1981 December 25 at Sindhuli with father Padam Bahadur bhujel and mother Krishna Kumari bhujel, Nepal. He completed his schooling from Ratna Rajya Higher Secondary School and later attained photography training from Shepherd College of Media Technology. He began his film making journey from Dhadkan movie in 2060 BS. He did the still photography in that movie. Since then, at that time, most of the posters, stills, and continuity were made out of the pictures he took. He started working as a camera assistant from the movie- Malati ko Bhatti. Till now, he has worked as a camera assistant in more than 30 films. He can be seen working together mostly with Sanjay Lama. He has been contributing towards the advancement of the Nepali Film Industry.
