Biography

She was in grade 8 when she fell in love with the documentaries of National Geographic and Discovery channels. She used to follow each and every documentary shows. She was in love with the way of their storytelling, how they make her feel so connected with the specific person, place, and their stories. When she was doing her high school the curiosity of storytelling grew inside her. At that time there was no one to guide her or anyone to tell her that the name of her curiosity was Filmmaking. Despite having so much interest in storytelling she did her high school taking Science stream in 2012 from Hetauda School of Science and Management, Hetauda.

After passing high school she couldn’t still figure out how to follow her passion but that was when she got her first DSLR. Then she started to do photography. She started to do street photography and instantly felt her connection with the camera. She wanted to learn more to do more. She learned to use the camera on her own. She joined her bachelor's at The British College, Kathmandu majoring in BSC IT in 2014. She was in her third year when she got completely traumatized for not doing exactly what she wanted to do. She wanted to become a filmmaker but she was doing coding to develop software. She became so unmotivated and finally decided to leave whatever she was doing. Then she got dropped out of The British College and joined Everest Film Academy.

She chose Cinematography as she wanted to tell stories through the camera and learned the art of Cinematography and Filmmaking. Finally, she was doing what she loves the most. Finally, she was studying films. After passing out from Everest Film Academy in 2018 her journey just got started. She started doing work as a Cameraperson on various national-level television channels where she was getting well paid but then again she was feeling like a bird inside a cage as television wasn’t what she wanted to do. She felt as her passion for films was being compressed then she left that work too then founded her own production company, Artis-T Productions Pvt. Ltd. Since then she has shot two short films ‘The bicycle’ (worked as a Director of Photography) and ‘Parafied’ (Director/Cinematographer). Her vision is to uplift Nepali Film Industry especially Nepali Indie Filmmakers and to create a platform for Independent young filmmakers.
