Dipak Oli
BiographyDipak Oli is a writer, director, actor, producer was born (1993/07/20) in Dang valley, to Thal Bahadur Oli and Nirmala Oli. As a child, he often looked up to his father as his inspiration and role- model. His mother management and directorial behavior with the villagers inspired him to become a director. When Dipak graduated high school, his parents advised him to study further degree but his patience about the film carried him always and ultimately joined Oscar Film College, where he studied about the film. During the course, the internal intuition derived him to make a feature length movie called “Rolpa rog” (2016). It is about the situation around the Maoist rebellion and its impact on the countryside areas. With the successful movie in 2018, “pandit bajeko lauri” makes him popular around the people in Nepali film industry. After release of Six days, he was protest by the Badi society, the situation come under controlled after many talks in table. His recent work as director 2019, “kumva karna”, did mild box office success. He has also worked as line producer in movie “kagaj patra” (2019). Other works include Believe in Blue (police awareness short film).
