Biography

Shishir Bishankhe is a highly accomplished Director of Photography born in Gongabun, Kathmandu, Nepal in 1993. He has been working professionally in the camera department since 2014 and has a reputation for his adaptability and flexibility in projects. With a strong understanding of most commercially available digital cameras, he has developed trusting working relationships with both industry professionals and novices.
He has a Master's degree in Digital Cinematography from Viewfinder Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme, which he completed in 2021, and his notable works as a Director of Photography include "A Trace of Fire" (2021, Estonia, Short), "Filam" (2021, Nepal, Short), "Julungo (A Scarecrow)" (2020, Nepal, Short), "Bare Trees in the Mist" (2019, Nepal, Short), "Jaalgedi (A Curious Girl)" (2017, Nepal, Short) and "Astitwa (Existence)" (2016, Nepal, Short). He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Film studies from Oscar International College of Film Studies, Tribhuvan University.
In addition to his work as a Director of Photography, Shishir has also worked as a Cinematography tutor in Oscar International College of Film Studies, Tribhuvan University between 2016-2019.
